This is DI Kim founder of Johnber and triathlete since 1997 in Korea.
Triathlon has been a big part of my life, especially 20 ages.
After graduating from University, I started my own business importing custom triathlon bike from California and Xterra wetsuits.
I had a chance to meet persons in California triathlon industry at that time,
– Dan Empfield founder of the slowtwitch.com he invited me his house and showed his lab.
– Visiting La Jolla Triathlete Magaizne office.
– etc.
It was a great time for me experience how to do triathlon business in the industry and those things made me launch the owned triathlon brand, Johnber.
Johnber was launched in 2017 and has grown up an increased two-digit percentage of sales in Korea.
The key to success is my experience as a triathlete bought many gears, trisuits, and wetsuits for my races.
I am still taking part in many triathlon events including ironman distance and developing Johnber products for myself!!!
In addition, geometrically Korea is closed to the China global factory having good technology and materials for sports gear and performance wear.
So it is easy to develop and communicate with factories, it means we can make products with reasonable price.
I have gotten inquires from oversea friends about Johnber products and finally prepared international business channels.
As a new competitor in global triathlon market, I need new customers’ cheering.
